Cascadian Group, LLC, has hired Nate LiaBraaten, MBA, as the firm’s Manager, Consulting Operations. Nate’s responsibilities include business development, executive consulting, and managing the firm’s daily administration.
Nate brings to Cascadian Group, LLC nearly 10 years of experience in business planning, financial modeling, project management and venture development. With a strong foundation in start-ups and economic development, a keen understanding of entrepreneurship, and sharp skills in strategic planning and finance, Nate looks forward to applying his expertise to Cascadian Group, LLC and the enterprise growth needs of the firm’s clients.
Before joining Cascadian Group, LLC, Nate spent two years as Business Development Manager with EDCO (Economic Development of Central Oregon). Prior to that, Nate was a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch and a Relationship Manager with Vencore Capital. Nate brings additional experience at the Board of Directors level with the Bend Chamber of Commerce, OEDA (Oregon Economic Development Association), Bend Economic Development Advisory Board, and Ronald McDonald House charities. He also has served to manage and facilitate HiDEC (High Desert Enterprise Consortium), a sophisticated industry group encompassing advanced manufacturing and technology companies.
Nate grew up in Bend, Oregon. Ever the overachiever, he earned a Master’s degree in Business, a Bachelor of Science in Finance, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and a minor in Economics from University of Oregon, all while playing four years for the school’s winning Oregon Ducks football team and attaining team captain and scholarly honors. In his free time, Nate enjoys scuba diving (he is a certified instructor and divemaster), skiing, fishing, films, history and travel.
